At a well-attended and atmospheric celebration in the festively decorated clubhouse, FSV phonix buttenheim honored numerous long-serving members and reviewed the past year. The program was led by dieter karmann, head of the events department. The buttenheimer christkind with his angels could not be missing, as well as the musical framing of the event by a brass band of the musikverein buttenheim.
The chairwoman of the administration, rita sawinsky, and the honorary officer of the association, margit fritschi, took over the honoring of the present members of the association, who were awarded for 25, 40 and 50 years of loyalty to the association. For the 60-year membership award of otto fortsch and the 70-year membership award of gregor kraus and martin reichold, honorary chairman herbert karmann contributed memories in words and pictures.
Dentist otto fortsch, for example, had barely settled in buttenheim before he was "arrested" by hansi modschiedler senior for the phonix and took over a position in the board of directors. The two "stretch boys gregor kraus and martin reichhold were already kicking "in the distant past" on the former sports ground on seigendorfer strabe, today’s saffer estate, and went through thick and thin with "their phonix" in all the years illuminated by herbert karmann. Honorary member gregor kraus is still on duty for sports field maintenance.
In addition to a certificate and a wine gift, the club’s anniversary members received a canvas with a picture of the site of the old lowenbraukeller as a memento for their extraordinary loyalty. Words of thanks and recognition were also spoken this evening by the second mayor of the market town of buttenheim, erich werner (CSU).
Heiner kupfahl was awarded an honorary DFB certificate for his many years of outstanding and reliable service in an honorary capacity and received much applause from the club members present.
The two new honorary members of the club, alfred saffer and martin behr, also received the same. The active soccer players also gave words of thanks and presents to the coaches, match leaders and the many helpers.
The evening was concluded with the "phonix 2018 fast motion" series of pictures, before the raffle and the auction, the evening was turned into the social part.
