
The spark jumped over immediately: whether the ka sendorfer musikanten under the direction of oliver bohl or the youth brass orchestra kasendorf under the direction of jurgen eschenbacher played. The youngsters had a "mazury rhapsody" and "sound of spring in the program, the older musicians offered a worthwhile mix of different styles: there were melodies from verdi’s opera "aida", light muse from the pen of franz von soup and musical melodies by andrew lloyd webber. Polkas and marches of the classical kind could not be missing as well as boogie and swing hits.
Gold for manfred prufer
the concert ended with a russian medley, during which loyal musicians were honored who put their hearts into their work. Manfred prufer received the gold diamond badge of honor for 40 years of loyal service. He plays the tenor horn.
Christian rossel, markus meisel (both trumpet) and bernd zirbelbach (tuba) have participated for 25 years, jurgen eschenbacher (conductor of the youth wind orchestra) for 20 years, dreas casper, stephan friedrich and anja hosch. Clarinettist elisabeth kolb has been involved for ten years. Conductor thomas eschenbacher has been a part of the festival for more than 15 years. "As a conductor, you have to be a solo entertainer, keep the people happy. You have to organize and sort notes, keep the team together", said harald streit from the north bavarian music association, who performed the honors together with chairman winfried graf.
